The YannLu PRE-500 is an instrument(DI) / microphone transistor preamp with a bridging Sowter transfo between the gain stage and the output volume stage.
It is now possible to drive this transfo by increasing the gain stage. It provides a nice controlled saturation by compensating the output volume to keep the signal above the clipping level.
